Description

redo-ifdelete is a is a dependency redcording utility that is run by a "do" script that is in turn invoked by redo(1).

redo-ifdelete records that the current target (whose "do" script is being run) depends from the dependencies named filenames. The dependency recorded is that the current target should be built if a filename is deleted. In other words, the target depends from the existence of the dependencies.

If a filename denotes a file or directory that does not exist at the time that the command is run, then redo-ifdelete exits with a failure status. If any of the dependencies are later deleted, the target will be considered out of date.

OPTIONS

redo-ifdelete supports the same command-line options, normally passed in environment variables rather than on the command line, and the same environment variables as redo-ifchange(1) (q.v.). It also has the same caveats about clearing the environment and closing open file descriptors.
